RECRUIT TEAM SPONSORS

We absolutely encourage teams to go out and recruit their own sponsors - it’s one of the best ways to get extra support for your travel, entry fees, gear, and overall season. Your sponsors can be anyone from a small local business in your hometown to a large national brand. Who you approach, how you pitch them, and what you negotiate is entirely up to you and your team.

Team sponsors that you recruit are your own relationships to manage. You decide the terms, the value, and how you work together. Those agreements are not controlled, influenced, or managed by PRO Skijor or the Frontier Tour in any way. This is different from PRO Skijor “tour-wide” or “event-specific” sponsors, which are handled separately by PRO Skijor at the series or event level.

What we do provide is a platform that helps you give your sponsors real exposure:

  • You can ask sponsors to help with a portion of your entry fees, travel expenses, lodging, or fuel.
  • They might provide equipment or gear for you, your skier, rider, or horse.
  • The arrangement can be cash, in-kind support, or a combination of both.

You also have a lot of flexibility in what you offer sponsors in return. For example:

  • Team naming rights: If “Ted’s Ski Shop” sponsors your team, you could name your team “Ted’s Ski Shop.” That name will appear on the PRO Skijor website “Meet the Teams” page, on running orders, and in results.
  • Announcer & broadcast mentions: Announcers will refer to your team as “Ted’s Ski Shop” over the loudspeakers and on the livestream/broadcast, and that name can appear on the big screen and live stream graphics, giving your sponsor repeated exposure.
  • Social media & content: You can highlight and tag your sponsor in your own social media before and throughout the season.
  • Branded apparel & swag: You can create custom jackets, hoodies, vests, saddle pads, or other swag with your sponsor’s name/logo so that every time you run, they’re getting visibility in front of fans on-site and viewers online.

So in short: we strongly encourage you to recruit sponsors for your team, and we’re working hard to provide a professional platform where you can showcase and promote them. The details of those sponsorships, however, are strictly between you and your sponsors and do not involve PRO Skijor in the negotiation or management of those agreements.
