Winter Roundup is a condensed PRO Skijor showcase created with Visit Salt Lake: a high-energy introduction to the sport in the heart of downtown.
It is an exhibition rather than a Tour points event, built to surprise new fans and put skijoring in a place they never expected to see it.
Make It ASalt Lake Winter Weekend.
Use the exhibition as the kickoff to a Salt Lake City winter weekend with downtown hotels, dining and entertainment plus quick access to Utah's world-famous Wasatch ski resorts and The Greatest Snow on Earth.
Performance times and fan experiences will be announced as final event details are released.

A Showcase Built For Fans
PRO Skijor exhibitions are condensed showcase experiences designed to introduce new audiences to the sport. Featured athletes are selected through the exhibition athlete process. This event is not a Frontier Tour points qualifier.
Downtown Streets. Western Thunder.
This is a free, curated PRO Skijor exhibition, not a regular Frontier Tour qualifier. Participation is approval only, with a 20-team field drawn from Sport and PRO-level applicants. At least 10 selected skiers or snowboarders must be certified and capable of Big Air exhibition features.
Applicants must provide video evidence showing current speed, control, obstacle proficiency and safe performance readiness. Complete teams and individual skiers or snowboarders may apply, but every final team must be approved by PRO Skijor.
Exhibition runs are not timed, do not award Tour points and do not include a cash payout. Selected athletes compete for sponsor prizes and the rare chance to race through the center of Salt Lake City with a downtown crowd on the rails.
Winter Roundup turns city streets into a snow-built skijoring arena. It is loud, fast, accessible to new fans and one of the most distinctive showcases on the 2027 calendar.
