+3

Completion Bonus

+3

Awarded once per team per division per event for completing at least one official run — a time or score must be recorded. Stackable with the Attendance bonus for up to +5 per event.

+5

Series Completion Bonus

+5

Earned if a team completes all 5 qualifying events with both Attendance (+2) and Completion (+3) at each stop. Rewards teams that commit to the full season.

Flexibility Built In

The Best-3 Rule

Your qualifier placement total uses your best 3 of 5 qualifier results. If you miss an event or have a tough weekend, only your top 3 placement finishes count — so you stay in the hunt all season long.

Important: Bonuses are never dropped. Attendance, Completion, and Series Completion bonuses apply in full — Best-3 only applies to placement points from qualifying events.

Championship Finals

How to Qualify
for the Finals

After all five qualifying events are complete, teams are ranked by their season total. Top finishers by division advance to the Championship Finals in Kamas, Utah — entry is free for all qualifying teams.

Step 1

Earn Points at Qualifiers

Compete in your division at qualifying events and accumulate points across the season.

Step 2

Meet Minimum Participation

Teams must earn at least Attendance (+2) at two qualifying events in that division to be eligible.

Step 3

Rank in the Top N

Top teams per division (TBD) qualify for Finals. Next 3 teams are listed as alternates to backfill withdrawals.

Points Policies

Points are team and division specific. Points accrue to the registered team in the division earned. Points do not transfer between teams or divisions and stay with the team — not the individual horse, rider, or skier.

Substitutions (injury only):

  • Requires a Vet or Doctor statement and must be approved by PRO Skijor officials.
  • Allowed until 24 hours before race day — no substitutions inside 24 hours.
  • Points stay with the team, not the individual.

Multi-team / multi-division participation: Individuals may appear on multiple teams and in multiple divisions in accordance with rules, regulations, and division and crossover limits. Points never cross over between teams or divisions.

In the event of a tie in season standings, the following tiebreakers are applied in order:

  • Most event wins (including Finals)
  • Most events attended (qualifiers with at least Attendance +2 in that division)
  • Highest Finals placing
  • Highest single-event point total (after Finals doubling)
  • If still tied: co-champions or an additional published method such as head-to-head at Finals
  • Results window: Corrections accepted up to 72 hours after posting. Standings update accordingly.
  • Minimum field size: None required. Points table applies to all fields regardless of size.
  • One-per-event rule: All bonuses are awarded once per team per division per event.
