When Bryan Coll broke his leg in Bozeman, the amazing skijor community came together to wish him the best and offer up a new sacrifice....uh skier! With two ALMOST good legs!
Powered by Aperture Mountain West Global Realty and SALT IV Hydration and Wellness, enter Tom Pisciotta — straight out of Melbourne, Australia, raised on a horse farm (his mum breeds Tennessee Walking Horses), and skiing moguls since before his voice even changed. Tom spent years training and competing with the Australian team, bouncing between Park City, Utah and competitions across the U.S., until a triple-threat knee injury (ACL, MCL, meniscus — all the letters) in Steamboat, Colorado retired him from moguls. This year, his girlfriend handed him a rope, pointed at a horse, and said “skijor is fun,” and the rest is history.
Holding down the horsepower side is Gina Weymiller, Senior Procrastination Executive with a zero and six record for overpacking an hour before race time. She brings horse treats, mismatched gloves, and an entire rough tote box of coats for skijor. She typically will trade clothing for horse tack she forgets to bring.
Pepper upholds the bay mare stereotype with equal parts of Mother Theresa and soul snatcher, and will check your panels at the gate to make sure they're securely locked together. She has a zero tolerance for nonsense.
