The first Bridle Up Hope Skijor Team represents grit, heart, and a whole lot of horsepower! Our team brings together the mission of Bridle Up Hope; to inspiring hope, confidence, and resilience through horses an habits, now on snow!

Leading the charge is Caitlin, Head Horse Trainer at Bridle Up Hope in Alpine, Utah. With five years of Skijoring Utah competition under her belt, Caitlin brings experience, precision, and serious cowgirl grit to the arena. She normally competes in ranch riding and working equitation with her partner Poncho, and together they’re always ready for their next adventure.

On the ropes is Abbey, our fearless skier who brings energy, enthusiasm, and a “let’s go!” attitude to every run. If you ask Abbey what she loves most about skijoring, she’ll tell you “I like to party!” and she means it in the best way possible.

And of course… there’s Poncho. A 15-year-old mule with a quirky personality and a need for speed, Poncho is as talented as he is expressive. Sensitive, athletic, and always up for a challenge, this is his second year competing at Skijoring Utah.

Together, this team embodies partnership, courage, and pure fun! Proving that when horses, riders, skiers, and heart come together, incredible things can happen.
