Colin Cook and RJ Klotz have been competing in the skijoring pro division for about a decade, which is impressive considering neither of them has fully mastered the art of “slowing down on purpose.” Their ski racing roots run deep, and so do their questionable decisions — like looking at a galloping horse and thinking, yeah, I should definitely ski behind that.

Last spring, Colin bought Bam — a horse with speed, the attitude of a teenager, and the work ethic of someone who knows he’s the real star of the team. Bam brings power, personality, and just enough spunk to keep things interesting. 

When fall rolls around, you’ll find Bam, Colin, and RJ guiding elk hunters through the mountains and dodging grizzly bears—because apparently skijoring isn’t quite enough adrenaline for the year.

Their strategy is simple: go fast, hold on, and hope Bam doesn’t remember he’s technically in charge.
