A Friday night kickoff worthy of the wildest tour on snow.

Join us at the Black Rock Mountain Resort Ballroom for the official start of SkiJoring Utah weekend - a high-energy night bringing together athletes, sponsors, and fans for specialty Lobos 1707 cocktails, music, dancing, fun, and celebration.

Dress theme (have fun with it): This is a Gala… PRO Skijor style. We’re encouraging attendees to lean into the vibe - think Aspen après-ski, western-glam, or even full send “Dumb & Dumber” level fits. Dress up, get weird, and make it a night to remember.

WHAT'S GOING DOWN:

• Cash bar social scene (valid ID required for alcoholic beverages)

• Mechanical bull + photo-worthy moments all night

• Calcutta-Style “Showcase Auction” + Hybrid Fashion Show

• Live band: Raina “Lawless” Wallace

• Dancing after the show - bring the boots, bring the energy

SCHEDULE:

• Doors open: 7:00 PM

• Calcutta / Showcase + Fashion Show begins: 8:00 PM

• Live music & dancing: immediately after until 11:00 PM

The “Calcutta” (but make it PRO Skijor)

After Friday’s racing, we’ll bring out the Top 10 teams in each division (based on the Friday leaderboard) for a high-hype, just-for-fun auction experience — complete with an auctioneer and the full Calcutta vibe.

Important note: this is NOT gambling and no real wagering takes place. Instead, it’s a fun, interactive way to get the crowd involved and cheering for teams on Saturday.

The Hybrid Fashion Show Twist

Each team will “walk the runway” like a featured athlete spotlight - showcasing products from our sponsors and vendors (fashion, gear, hats, apparel, western goods, skis/snowboards, energy drinks, and more… yes, even Lobos moments). It’s part athlete intro, part sponsor spotlight, part fashion runway.

Food is not included. Want dinner first? Make dinner reservations directly with Black Rock Mountain Resort, then come upstairs and party with us.
